How to: Change the mouse pointer speed.
Solution:
Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. Click the 'Motion' tab. Adjust the mouse pointer speed.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. (The 'Mouse Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Motion' tab.
5) Adjust the mouse pointer speed:
a) To slow down the mouse, drag the 'Pointer speed' slider bar to the left.
b) To speed up the mouse, drag the 'Pointer speed' slider bar to the right.
